Happy Raya !!

hari-raya

It’s de time of de year again.. it’s de time where we will be able to stuff ourselves with lemang, rendang, ketupat and all sorts of local delicacies.. it’s de time where we will dress up and go to open house/s of friends and colleagues..  It’s Raya !!

I think our Raya has been inching forward slowly.. Have anyone anticipated it ? Have you realized this Raya is earlier than our National Day ?? It’s also earlier than de Chinese Moon Cake Festival.. Lol xD Can’t wait for de other celebrations >~<

I’m actually secretly glad that I live in Malaysia (though I always complain about de double standards and political stuff lar) as we always have lots of celebrations which also equal to more holidays =D hahaha.. Living in a multicultural community gives us de chance to know every other race better and share our cultures and values.. For example, I like wearing baju kurung and also having nasi lemak.. I don’t think you can find those anywhere else in de world except Msia..

In Malaysia, we have a VARIETY OF FOOD, CULTURES, FASHION, LANGUAGES, and more !! It’s just so fun learning, knowing, tasting and experiencing everything in just one place ^~^

Anyway, have you plan anything for this Raya hols ?? We can and should utilize this chance to spend some quality time with de family.. But as predicted, everywhere will be dang jam… especially tourist attractions.. So, where shall we go then ??

If you have received invites from your fellow friends / colleagues who celebrates Raya, take up on their offer and visit them.. This can strengthen de bond between you all.. If you don’t have anything planned, why not just go on a makan-makan trip ??

I was thinking maybe we can travel to Ipoh or Malacca as both places are not that far and offer a variety of tantalizing food =D But be prepare to be stuck in de jam for… like hours @.@

If you are planning on travelling to Ipoh, den de must try-s are bean sprouts/tauge chicken aka “nga choi kai”, dimsum, curry noodles, chee cheong fun wif  fried tofu skin aka “fu pei”, white coffee and lots more..

If you wanna visit Malacca, de de must try-s are durian puffs, asam laksa, chicken rice balls, durian cendol, satay celop and Nadeje’s mille crepe cake !!

Or if you just wanna spend time wif de family, why not try French Village in Pahang or Cameron Highlands ?? Both tourist attractions are cool and offer quaint places of lodging but you have to prepare for de price lar.. It will be quite pricey~~~There’s nothing much to do here but you can enjoy de scenery and get loads of pix lo.. After all, you just wanna spend time wif de family only mar.. right ??

Last of all, drive carefully and safely.. Be sure your car is in tip-top condition before attempting to go on far-distance trips..

SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI EVERYONE

What are your plans ?? Feel free to let me know =)
