Her 1st Accident

It was a regular morning for her, waking up at 7.20am and going off to work at 8am, nothing unusual.. Except that she went off at 8am yesterday to send her brother to the bus central so he can go back to his university campus some 4 hours distance away, according to the bus schedule..

Out of curiosity and boredom, she took a road she seldom take.. She have just turned in and was cruising at a not-so-slow speed limit (at a guess of 30-40kmj) when a motorcycle came at top speed out of the blue.. She didn’t see him, he didn’t see her.. Wham ! Bham ! He smacked into the passenger side of her car and fell to the floor with his motor a top him.. She was stunned for a while.. She was always a cautious driver though not a slow one.. But, to suddenly being slammed @.@ it was terrifying for her.. Her 1st accident !

She and her brother got down.. Moved the toppled bike over and helped the Indian uncle up.. At a guess, he should be around 40ish.. His right foot was hurt where the motor trapped his leg beneath the rough road, some part of the skin around his right food was scraped off.. She thought of making a police report but the victim pleaded NO..

Then, the chaos started.. Everyone came out of nowhere, presumably the neighbors.. They start blaming her for the accident because she was standing upright and she was driving the car.. She was on the verge of nears already as she felt responsible for the poor uncle’s throbbing pain..

Everyone was backing him up it seem.. Of course, they would, he’s their neighbor and this out-of-nowhere girl with a specky brother are Chinese.. Yes, all the neighbors are of the same race; Indian.. So, of course they must stand together and put the blame on the Chinese.. They were hollering at her, flinging insults that weren’t worth repeating, not to say very degrading and sexist..

It scared the shit out of her.. At first, she thought it wasn’t her fault.. Then, after lots of degrading insults, she felt she’s the one at fault.. She felt damn guilty for making the poor man suffer like this.. She said sorry so many times it was like a prayer for her, to lift her out of that very nightmare.. She offered him a ride to the hospital, clinic, any medical attention he wants..

They went.. From one clinic to another.. She drove, cried and drove.. They visited 5 clinics but not one offered X-ray for the foot.. She suggested the hospital then.. But, the Indian uncle declined.. He don’t want to be mixed up in the police business if they go to the general hospital.. It’s too risky for him he said, she did not question why.. She just hoped to cure him as soon as possible..

The Indian uncle said he knew it’s his fault.. He said he shouldn’t have kept quiet when his neighbors blamed and hurled insults at her.. He apologized.. He said sorry.. She cried again.. For his pain.. For the guilt that shouldn’t be there.. For her weakness..

PS: I used the third person point of view just to make it more interesting.. This actually happened to ME unfortunately T___T

I’m not trying to be racist or anything here, but how can I help it ?? I thought we are practicing this 1 Malaysia concept thingy ! I thought we were above this but seems I’m deeply mistaken.. And believe me, this race issue is still happening like everywhere.. I’m just pointing out of them..

Well, shit happens.. We just have to live with it.. Everything is ok now.. I just hope he doesn’t come for revenge or something..

Oh.. and another embarrassing thing happened following this very unfortunate encounter.. After sending my brother off, who managed to calm me down and convinced me that I’m not guilty, I went to work.. I CRIED SUDDENLY IN MY OFFICE WHEN I TALKED TO MY SUPERIOR because I was shaken up so badly !! Like wtf, this is so embarrassing >___<
