BunnyInBoracay |Day 1|
It’s been more than a month since I came back from my Boracay trip but I only have time for the 1st post now.. Gomenasai ><
Anyways, this was my 2nd trip to Philippines’ pearl of paradise and as my dad has said, it wasn’t as much fun going the 2nd time.. Maybe cuz we had too many days there, it was a 6 days trip and the inflation rate is a killer.. The departure airport tax rise from PHP500 in Sept 2014 to PHP700 in Sept 2015.. The cost of living/spending rise about a 30% – 50% compared to the last year we went.. How am I supposed to have fun with inflation everywhere ==||
This post wouldn’t be so detailed in the sense of environment fee, airport tax, terminal fee, transportation fees and all since I’ve done it the last round in 2014.. You can refer to these blog post for more detailed info

Warning: Posts on Boracay Vacay will be very photo heavy..
If you have read the above posts, you would have known that travelling from Malaysia/Singapore to Boracay takes about 8 - 10 hours 0.0 yes, I know, that is extremely tiring.. From travelling to the airport, to the 4 hours flight, to the 1.5 hours coach ride to jetty to a bangka (boat) ride and the last coach ride to the hotel..
But the wonders of the clear blue skies & sea is awaiting, so it’s definitely worth it ♥
We were staying at The Tides Hotel and it was quite a worthwhile experience.. The reception service was swift and courteous.. Plus point is we do not need to pay a hefty sum of deposit for the rooms yay for that!
Prior to the comments online about The Tides being a bit cramped, we find the rooms actually quite satisfactory.. Me and my bestie sharing a room even had a double bed each to ourselves.. Our rooms were extremely clean, new and in tip-top condition..
To be honest, accommodation in Boracay is a bit costly if you are looking for clean classy 3-4 stars hotels.. It costs us RM400 per night for this room, I wouldn’t complain since I’m an orderly and clean freak and the last hotel we stayed at, The District Boracay costs us RM750 per night.. I need my hotel room to be cleaned with bed sheets and towels changed every single day.. Haha.. But if you dig bed and breakfast, then you can get it at about RM150 per night..
It was evening when we reached our rooms.. We took an hour to refresh and rest for a bit before we went in search for dinner!
Of all the choices, we went for Shakey’s Pizza lol..
It was quite costly, too.. About Rm180 for the 6 of us 0.0 sky high price leh~~
Their fried chicken and the wedges are to die for though, nope, not the pizza!!
And a walk to digest the scrumptious food
All sorts of activities along the beach, you can have a great 1 hour massage for only PHP300 = RM30 / SGD10.. Or watch the fire performance up close (with photo taking option).. Just order a drink and you will be entertained
Or, you can even get yourself a temporary henna tattoo for prices as low as RM10.. I got mine for RM30 / SGD10 and it stays on for about a week..
Note: Most of the hotels will fine you if you stained their bed sheets, towels or etc with the henna ink and the price is really not cheap.. So do note to let your tattoo air dry for at least 2 hours before you washed it off and pat dry with tissue first.. For extra measures, try securing a cloth around your tattoo before you sleep, that’s what I did for the one on my ankle..
We ended the night fairly early as all 6 of us were quite bone-weary.. See you in the next post!
