Boracay Vacay~~~Sunshine, Sand & Sea (Part 3)
Hey guys! I have reconciled with my lappie in SG now haha.. So, here’s the promised post---last part of Boracay Trip ^^
Some wise man once said we have to start our day with a full stomach so ta-daa~~~Breakfast in hotel with a wide spread to choose from one of the most yummiest meal of the day!
Let’s have a look at some pics of the international gourmet served for breakfast~~~ta-daa!!
There’s also a section where the chef make hot stuff like pancakes and waffles ^^ You can even request for how you would like your eggs to be made; scrambled, poached or sunny-side-up! Yay
We lazed around the beach and took tons of pics there with the hot sun glaring at us which causes me and my sister uncountable freckles >.<
Jean and I couldn’t do superhuman poses like my sister and Jennifer hence we make do with usual poses you see on the beach haha
One for the beach ^^
It was so hot we had to order the freshly squeezed 100% juice here..
The mango juice is a must try!
The best part is yet to come! Since it was the last day we had, we took the opportunity to explore the island a little.. Oh, did I mentioned that the people here are just so nice & sweet? Compliments flow from them like waterfall---ok, that’s a little exaggerating but they were really very generous with kind words and all
Ok, back to topic.. We were just wandering aimlessly with no real purpose and spotted a McDonald’s.. Someone suggested we tried the McD from every country as there will be a different in taste so we did just that!
And, here’s where the sweet surprise happened! My sis, Jennifer & Jean purposely prepared a surprise birthday celebration for me!! We were queuing for McDonald’s and they said Jennifer had a headache so they needed to go next door to buy medicine.. In fact, they went to get me a cake xD How sweet are they??
Moist Chocolate Cake from Julie’s Bakeshop---my name was spelt wrongly again, but oh well xD
We had a little siesta session back @ the hotel just before dinner.. FYI, siesta means a midday rest or nap, usually taken after your lunch/midday meal.. This word originated from Spain and this custom is now widely practiced in countries with warm weather..
As for dinner, we went to Hama Japanese Cuisine, and honestly it was quite a disappointment to us..
This udon soup was soooo salty I think we can drop a year’s worth of hair 0.0 yes, seriously, I am not joking, and I like salty stuff you know..
Another major failed noodles.. Too bland..
This was the most edible one, but mind you, it wasn’t yummy, just edible..
This sushi tasted quite bland..
Can’t remember what’s the name of this dish above but it was some kind of ramen served cold in some extremely sour broth that we just couldn’t even finish half of it..
I was thinking maybe it all lies in the soup.. Some bland, some too salty, some super sour.. What’s that?? And all this dishes wasn’t even cheap, cost us close to RM200!! We were thinking to splurge a little since it was our last night there but it was such a huge disappointment
Suffice to say that maybe we should stick back to Philippines (local) type of food or Western as those can’t possibly go wrong..
And that’s the end of my blog postings on Boracay for last year haha.. Am going to Boracay again in a few months’ time!! Can’t wait.. Any recommendations on accommodations? Not gonna take The District this time as it is quite expensive, RM700/day for 5 nights will definitely put a hole in our pocket ><
